The Freighttube EF50 is an ethylene filter tube designed to protect perishables from high concentrations of ethylene gas. With unique features, it leads the market in safeguarding specific fruits and ensuring the safety of those involved in their production.
These filters are 75 cm long and contain the GK3 and GK4 granules for an absorption capacity of more than 3 and 4 litres of ethylene respectively per kilogram of GreenKeeper. Formats with activated carbon are available for certain applications.
These granules are designed specifically to:
- Produce a minimal amount of dust
- Achieve high efficiency, lowering ethylene levels in the container more effectively than any other product on the market
- Deliver extremely high capacity without the risks associated with sodium permanganate
The ‘Easyfit’ system integrates flanged connections into the cap, making filter assembly quick and easy, with additional benefits including:
- No need to bend the plastic flanges, avoiding the difficulty of passing them through grid holes
- Pre-shaped flanges with soft curve for smoother installation
- Anchored flanges allow the cord to enter from four different positions, providing flexibility, especially for truck installations.
A double-sided adhesive option is available for the Freighttube EF50 filter, making it easier to install in trucks with plastic tube ventilation systems that lack perforated guides.
Calculating the theoretical absorption capacity required depends on:
- The type of fruit
- The days in transit
- The kilos being transported
Remaining capacity measurement: The available filter capacity can be adjusted realistically. This method allows us to account for variables such as seasonal influences and different levels of ripeness.
