Why am I seeing an error message in LogTag Analyzer?

If you’re seeing an error message, make sure you’re using the latest version of LogTag Analyzer. This will often resolve issues, including the “$1 internal error”, which occurs when the software is trying to communicate with a model that your current version doesn\u2019t support.<\/p>\n

You can update the software by going to “Help” and selecting “Check internet for updates” or visit the LogTag website to download the latest version. The software will automatically update if you’re using an older version.<\/p>\n

Another cause of error messages could be a low battery. Check the battery life to be sure.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What do I do if I see “Cannot connect to LogTag…” or “$4:USB.0012345” errors?
\n<\/i><\/h2>\n
These errors indicate that LogTag Analyzer detected an interface and Logger but couldn’t establish communication. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:<\/p>\n

1. Poor connection between Logger and interface:<\/strong> Clean the Logger’s contact pads with a damp cloth or pencil eraser.
\n2. Stuck contact pin in the interface:<\/strong> Check the interface pins and ensure they move freely when pressure is applied.
\n3. USB power issue:<\/strong> Connect the interface directly to your computer or use a powered USB hub.
\n4. Interrupted communication:<\/strong> Reconnect the Logger properly and retry the action.
\n5. Defective USB port:<\/strong> Try using a different USB port.
\n6. Low battery:<\/strong> Check if the Logger battery is low.
\n7. Cold environment:<\/strong> If the Logger was recently removed from a cold environment, wait for it to acclimatise.
