Data acquisition<\/strong> \u2013 or DAQ<\/strong> \u2013 is the process of collecting information from the real world and turning it into data that a computer can understand and analyse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That could mean tracking the temperature inside a vaccine fridge. Or recording the humidity inside a shipping container. Or even monitoring the CO\u2082 levels in a lab. If it can be measured, it can be acquired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does data acquisition work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It all starts with sensors<\/strong>. These clever devices measure things like temperature, humidity, pressure, or light. The sensor converts that measurement into an electrical signal<\/strong>; like a voltage or current.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That signal is then picked up by data acquisition hardware<\/strong>. This might be a data logger<\/strong>, such as those made by EasyLog<\/a> or LogTag<\/a> (both trusted names we proudly offer at Praxas).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
